COLONIA, N.J. – Mercy University Men's Soccer senior Matteo Azambuja (Paris, France/Eastern New Mexico University) and junior Pau Ramon (Santa Ponca, Spain/Southeastern CC) have been named to the East Coast Conference (ECC) Men's Soccer Honor Roll for Week Nine.

Azambuja had a team-high five points on two goals and one assist as Mercy went 2-0 on the week to secure an ECC Championship berth. The senior recorded an assist in Mercy's 3-1 win at AIC on Wednesday. The forward ended the week scoring both goals in the Mavericks' 2-1 win at D'Youville on Saturday that gave Mercy an ECC Championship berth. 

Ramon had a goal and an assist, scoring the game-winning goal, in Mercy's 3-1 win at AIC on Wednesday. The junior also helped lead a Mavericks backline that allowed just two goals in a 2-0 week. 

The awards are the first for both Azambuja and Ramon this season. Mercy has now earned six awards on the year.

Head Coach Pedro Velazquez and the Mavericks resume action on Wednesday when they host UDC in an ECC Championship First Round game at 1 p.m.
