Six Mavericks Named to College Sports Communicators Men's Soccer Academic All-District Team

DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. – Mercy University Men's Soccer seniors Santiago Serrano (Bogota, Colombia/Rogers State University) and Matteo Azambuja (Paris, France/Eastern New Mexico University) and juniors Diego Guzmán (Santiago, Chile/Colegio Everest), John Hollis (Bradford, England/West Virginia Wesleyan College), Pau Ramon (Santa Ponca, Spain/Southeastern CC) and Mario de Roque Zazón (Zaragoza, Spain/Newman University) have been named to the 2025 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Division II Men's Soccer Academic All-District Team.

Serrano receives All-District honors for the first time. The senior has a 3.54 GPA as a Business Administration major. Serrano was named Third Team All-ECC after playing in 17 games making 14 starts with three goals and one assist.

Azambuja takes home All-District honors for the first time. The senior has a 3.63 GPA as a Finance major. Azambuja played in all 18 games and ended the season with three goals and four assists.

Guzmán receives All-District accolades for the first time. The junior has a 3.88 GPA as a Business and Finance major. Guzmán played in all 18 games making 17 starts with 1,412 minutes played.

Hollis is named All-District for the first time. The junior has a 3.96 GPA as a Mathematics major. Hollis played in all 18 games with 17 starts, recording two goals and two assists in 1,377 minutes.

Ramon is tabbed All-District for the first time. The junior has a 3.75 GPA as a Business major. Ramon was named Third Team All-ECC after starting all 18 games with three goals and one assist in 1,603 minutes played.

De Roque Zazón earns All-District honors for the first time. The junior has a 3.80 GPA as a Business Management major. De Roque Zazón was named Second Team All-ECC after playing in 18 games with three goals, five assists and 11 points. The midfielder led the team in assists and was second in points.

The College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom.
