Scouting the Mavericks
Mercy is currently on a three-game losing streak and is coming off a 76-74 overtime loss to UDC on Saturday. The Mavericks are looking to win at Queens for the first time since January 30, 2016. Queens snapped a three-game losing streak on Sunday with an 87-84 overtime win at Roberts Wesleyan. The Knights shoot an ECC-best 74.0 percent from the foul line and hold opponents to 44.2 percent shooting from the floor (No. 3). Queens is led by junior Elijah Bovell who is a one-time ECC Player of the Week and is third in the ECC with 20.1 points per game on 49.5 percent shooting. The guard also averages 5.7 rebounds per game and 1.1 steals per game. Sophomore David Grady III is second on the team with 10.2 points per game and leads the team with 5.9 rebounds per game. Junior Keenan Gorski pours in 9.3 points per game and senior Shomari Redd is fourth on the team with 9.1 points per game and leads the team with 3.3 assists per game.
