DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. (Oct. 25, 2022) – The Mercy College men's soccer team is ranked No. 14 nationally in the latest United Soccer Coaches Top 25 Poll, as announced by the organization earlier today.
The Mavericks move up four spots in the poll. Mercy is also ranked No. 2 in the East Region according to the United Soccer Coaches. The Mavericks went 1-0 last week with a 1-0 win over East Stroudsburg. Mercy has started the season 10-2-3 and have been led by sophomore Luis Silva who has a team-high 12 points and six goals. Senior Vasco Baptista and junior Daniel Rodriguez are second on the team with 11 points and freshman Mathias Schilbred-Eriksen has a team-high six assists.
Head Coach Pedro Velazquez and the Mavericks resume action on Wednesday, October 26th when they play at Bridgeport at 4 p.m.
