WEST BABYLON, N.Y. (Oct. 3, 2022) – Mercy College volleyball senior Yarianne Gonzalez (Manati, P.R./Monroe College) has been named the East Coast Conference (ECC) Volleyball Setter of the Week and senior Larissa Schneid (Sao Paulo, Brazil/Iowa Western CC) has been tabbed to the Honor Roll for Week Six.

Gonzalez had a team-high 69 assists with 20 digs and seven kills in a 1-1 week for Mercy. The senior opened the week with 23 assists, nine digs and two kills at Molloy on Wednesday. The setter ended the week with a match-high 46 assists with 11 digs and five kills in the win over Queens on Saturday.

Schneid had a team-high 25 kills and 23 digs in a 1-1 week for Mercy. The senior opened the week with seven kills and 11 digs at Molloy on Wednesday. The outside hitter ended the week with a match-high 18 kills and 12 digs in the win over Queens on Saturday.

The award is the fifth earned by Gonzalez this season and the fourth for Schneid. Mercy has now earned 14 awards on the year.

Head Coach Ana Todorovic and the Mavericks resume action on Wednesday, October 5th when they play at Bentley at 7 p.m.
