No. 4 Seed Volleyball to Play at No. 1 Seed Daemen in ECC Championship Semifinal on Friday

DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. (Nov. 8, 2022) – The Mercy College volleyball team has secured the No. 4 seed in the ECC season-ending conference tournament and will play at No. 1 seed Daemen University on Friday, November 11th at 5 p.m. in a Semifinal matchup.

The Mavericks make their third straight appearance in the tournament after posting their best overall record since 2005. Mercy will be looking to win their first ECC Championship since 2001. The Mavericks will be looking to make the Final for the first time since 2005. Mercy has won the Championship three times (1999, 2000 and 2001) in program history. The Mavericks currently sit at 13-6 on the year and went 6-4 in ECC play.

The winner of the Mercy/Daemen matchup will face the winner of No. 2 Queens/No. 3 Molloy in the Final on Saturday, November 12th at Daemen at 5 p.m.

Tickets for each game of the championship can be purchased in advance at www.eccsports.org/tickets. Ticket prices will be $8 for general admission and $4 for senior citizens, students, and children ages 2-5. Children under two will be admitted for free. In celebration of Veterans Day on Friday, all veterans will be able to attend both days of the tournament for free. A ticket must still be secured through the ECC ticket website and a valid military ID must be shown to gain free entry. Veterans can get a free ticket by selecting the "Have a Passcode" link and typing in the code Veteran. 

In addition, cash will not be accepted so those wishing to purchase tickets at the venue must still use the ECC ticket website to purchase them (QR code to scan with a smartphone will be available at the gate).

Semifinals – Friday, November 11th
No. 4 Mercy vs. No. 1 Daemen – 5 p.m.
No. 3 Molloy vs. No. 2 Queens – 7:30 p.m.

Final – Saturday, November 12th
MER/DAE vs. MOL/QC – 5 p.m.
