DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. (June 24, 2022) – Mercy College Director of Athletics Matt Kilcullen Jr. has announced the hiring of Ana Todorovic as the new Mercy College Head Women's Volleyball Coach.

"We are ecstatic about Ana being our new Head Women's Volleyball Coach," said Kilcullen. "She brings a wealth of experience to our program as a very successful professional player and head coach. Her energy, enthusiasm, and passion for volleyball and our student athletes was very evident in the interviewing process. Ana will bring our rapidly improving program to new heights!"
Todorovic brings a wealth of coaching and playing experience to the position. She comes to Mercy after serving as the Head Men's Volleyball Coach at CCNY since January 2015. This past season, she led CCNY to their first ECAC Tournament appearance after posting a 13-7 record. The team finished in the top five in the eastern regional finals. In 2019, Todorovic led CCNY to a 15-4 record, their best record in the past 20 years of the program and led them to the No. 2 seed in the CUNYAC Championship. The team advanced to the semifinals for the first time in 10 years. Todorovic was named Coach of the Year by the CCNY athletic department, and her team earned CCNY's most outstanding performance by a male team after the 2019 season.
Todorovic coached a two-time CUNYAC Player of the Year, a CUNYAC Rookie of the Year, a CUNYAC Libero of the Year and three student-athletes who earned the program six NCAA statistical champion awards. Under her direction, the team was crowned NCAA Statistical Champions in Aces Per Set in 2018 and 2019.
Todorovic also served as a women's volleyball volunteer assistant coach at St. Francis College (Brooklyn) during the 2015-16 academic year. The native of Serbia got her start in coaching with the professional FIVB women's volleyball team Obilic in Belgrade, Serbia in 2013. During her season as head coach, the team placed among the top four teams in the Serbian First Volleyball League. Todorovic has also served as a presenter at the largest volleyball event in the country, the AVCA convention, in 2015 and 2019.
Prior to her start in coaching, Todorovic had an outstanding playing career from 1994-2010. She played professionally for 17 years at the highest FIVB level and for five years represented the national team of Serbia. She played in pro leagues in Serbia, Italy, Germany, Greece, Turkey, Spain, Austria, Romania, Poland, Russia, and Puerto Rico. Todorovic also competed in the FIVB European Cups in CEV, Top Teams and Champions League. She has won three National Championships, two National Cups and twice was a National Runner-Up.
Todorovic received a degree in Nursing from Medical School Nadezda Petrovic in Zemun, Serbia in 1996 and earned a Operational Coach of Volleyball Degree from the University of Sport and Physical Education in Belgrade in 2014.
