DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. (Aug. 7, 2024) – Mercy University Assistant Vice President of Athletics Matt Kilcullen Jr. is pleased to announce that the Mercy University Athletic Department had a school-record 107 of its student-athletes receive the D2 ADA Academic Achievement Award, as announced by the Division 2 Athletic Directors Association.
The Mavericks' 107 recipients ranked second among the ECC schools receiving the honor. A total of 19,774 student-athletes from 192 institutions were recognized for the 2023-24 Academic Achievement Awards.
To be eligible for the Academic Achievement Award, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade-point average of 3.5 or higher, completed two years of college study and have been a member of the of an intercollegiate team during his or her last academic year.
