DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. (June 17, 2025) – Mercy University women's lacrosse seniors Lindsey Shimborske (Farmingdale, N.Y./Farmingdale) and Leah Hansen (Greenlawn, N.Y./Harborfields), junior Olivia LaMonica (Oak Ridge, N.J./Jefferson Township) and sophomore Riley Wallace (Islip, N.Y./Islip) have been named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Division II At-Large Academic All-District Team.
Shimborske is named Academic All-District for the third straight year and has a 3.99 GPA. The senior was named IWLCA and USA Lacrosse Magazine First Team All-American, IWLCA First Team All-Region, ECC Defender of the Year and First Team All-ECC. Shimborske started all 17 games and had a team-high 62 ground balls, 39 caused turnovers and 120 draw controls.
Hansen is tabbed Academic All-District for the second consecutive year and has a 3.75 GPA. The senior was named IWLCA Second Team All-Region and First Team All-ECC after starting all 17 games with a team-high 53 goals, 20 assists and 73 points.
LaMonica earns All-District honors for the first time and has a 3.92 GPA. The junior was named Second Team All-ECC after starting all 17 games in goal. She went 10-7 with 120 saves, a .448 save percentage and 10.16 goals-against average in 873 minutes.
Wallace takes home All-District accolades for the first time with a 3.98 GPA. The sophomore was named First Team All-ECC after starting all 17 games. Wallace ended the season with 47 goals, 11 assists, 58 points and 55 draw controls.
