DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. – The Mercy University Baseball Team is ranked No. 8 in the latest National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) East Region Top 10 Poll.
Mercy is ranked No. 8 in the poll for the second straight week after going 3-1 last week against D'Youville and Queens. The Mavericks are currently 9-9 on the year and have been led by sophomore Matthew Hesselbirg who is batting a team-high .419 with six RBI and 15 runs scored and by sophomore Ryan DiNapoli who is 3-1 with a 2.25 ERA in 20.0 innings.
Head Coach Chris Schoen and the Mavericks resume action on Friday, March 20th when they host STAC for a doubleheader at 12 p.m.
