COLONIA, N.J. – Mercy University Baseball senior John Nisco (Tarrytown, N.Y./Sleepy Hollow) and junior Nevin Scaperotti (Stormville, N.Y./Carmel) have been named to the East Coast Conference (ECC) Baseball Honor Roll for Week Four.
Nisco hit a team-high .357 (5-for-14) with one run and one double in four games this week. The senior went 2-for-3 in game one at Pace on Friday. The outfielder then went 3-for-8 with a run and a double against Pace on Sunday.
Scaperotti made one start on the mound against Pace on Sunday, going 5.0 innings with just two runs allowed and two strikeouts to take a no-decision.
The award is the first for Nisco this season and the second for Scaperotti. Mercy has now earned 10 awards on the year.
Head Coach Chris Schoen and the Mavericks resume action on Friday, March 13th when they host D'Youville for a doubleheader at 12 p.m.
