COLONIA, N.J. – Mercy University Baseball junior Nevin Scaperotti (Stormville, N.Y./Carmel) and sophomore Ryan DiNapoli (Yorktown Heights, N.Y./Yorktown) have been named to the East Coast Conference (ECC) Baseball Honor Roll for Week Five.

Scaperotti hit a team-high .556 (5-for-9) with two RBI, two runs, and one double as Mercy went 3-1 on the week. The junior also went 1-0 on the mound with a seven-inning complete game and six strikeouts to earn the win over D'Youville in game two on Friday. Scaperotti went 5-for-6 with two RBI, two runs and one double in Mercy's game one win over Queens on Saturday.

DiNapoli pitched 4.0 innings with two runs allowed and one strikeout to earn the win in Mercy's 3-2 game two win over Queens on Saturday.

The award is the third for Scaperotti this season and the second for DiNapoli. Mercy has now earned 12 awards on the year.

Head Coach Chris Schoen and the Mavericks resume action on Friday when they host STAC for a doubleheader starting at 12 p.m.
