COLONIA, N.J. – Mercy University Men's Lacrosse senior Peter Murphy (Port Jefferson, N.Y./Port Jefferson) has been named the East Coast Conference (ECC) Men's Lacrosse Goalie of the Week, and freshman Jackson Wilkinson (Scarborough, Ontario/Everest Academy) has been tabbed Rookie of the Week for Week 10. Senior Jack Agres (Farmingdale, N.Y./Farmingdale) and sophomores Cole Hunsberger (Waterloo, Ontario/Grand River Collegiate Institute), Trey Weinstein (Kitchener, Ontario/Newberry College) and Michael Mitrano (Hilton, N.Y./Hilton) have been named to the Honor Roll.
Murphy had a game-high and career-high-tying 12 saves with just four goals allowed in the second half of Mercy's 22-5 win over STAC on Saturday.
Wilkinson had a goal, two assists, one ground ball and one caused turnover in Mercy's 22-5 win over STAC on Saturday.
Agres had a game-high-tying six points on three goals and three assists to go with one ground ball and one caused turnover in Mercy's 22-5 win over STAC on Saturday.
Hunsberger had a game-high-tying six points on two goals and a game-high four assists to go with three ground balls and a caused turnover in Mercy's 22-5 win over STAC on Saturday.
Weinstein had a game-high three caused turnovers and five ground balls in Mercy's 22-5 win over STAC on Saturday.
Mitrano went 6-of-11 on faceoffs with five ground balls and a goal in Mercy's 22-5 win over STAC on Saturday.
The award is the second for Murphy this season, the first for Wilkinson, the second for Agres, the seventh for Hunsberger, the second for Weinstein and the third for Mitrano. Mercy has now earned 35 awards on the year.
Head Coach Ryan MacSpadyen and the Mavericks resume action on Wednesday when they host Bridgeport at 3 p.m.
