DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. – The Mercy University Women's Lacrosse Team is ranked No. 14 nationally in the final Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Top 25 Poll.

Mercy ends the season in the Top 25 for the first time since 2023. The Mavericks earned the ranking after going 16-4 on the year and being nationally-ranked all season. Mercy earned the program's first-ever NCAA Tournament win, made their first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2022 and won their first ECC Tournament Championship since 2023. The Mavericks earned the top seed in the ECC Tournament and defeated D'Youville and Roberts Wesleyan to secure the program's fourth ECC Championship. ECC Coach of the Year Dawn Sachs led the Mavericks to their fifth appearance in the NCAA Tournament where they defeated Southern Connecticut State before falling to Pace in the Second Round.

The Mavericks were led by senior Emily Marino who was named IWLCA Second Team All-American and ECC Defender of the Year after leading the team with 37 caused turnovers and 50 ground balls. Sophomore Ashlinn Kelly was also named IWLCA Second Team All-American and ECC Midfielder of the Year after recording 74 points on 51 goals and 23 assists. Kelly added 42 ground balls, 36 draw controls and 25 caused turnovers. Senior Olivia LaMonica was named ECC Goalie of the Year and IWLCA First Team All-Region after going 13-4 with 127 saves, a .446 save percentage and 10.12 goals-against average. Freshman Jessica Grzelaczyk was named ECC Attacker and Rookie of the Year and IWLCA First Team All-Region after producing a team-high 77 points on 43 goals and a team-high 34 assists.
