NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. – Mercy University Women's Lacrosse seniors Emily Marino (West Babylon, N.Y./West Babylon) and Olivia LaMonica (Oak Ridge, N.J./Jefferson Township) have been selected to participate in the 2026 IWLCA Division II Senior All-Star Game on Saturday, May 30th at 3 p.m. on Tierney Field at USA Lacrosse Headquarters in Sparks, Maryland. Marino and LaMonica will play for the Blue All-Stars and admission for the game is free of charge.
Marino was named IWLCA Second Team All-American and USA Lacrosse Magazine Third Team All-American. The IWLCA First Team All-Region selection, ECC Defender of the Year and First Team All-ECC honoree was named ECC Defensive Player of the Week once and led the team with 37 caused turnovers and 50 ground balls. The senior started all 20 games, was named All-Conference for the third straight year and earned First Team All-ECC honors for the second straight season. She led the ECC in ground balls and was second in caused turnovers. Marino had a season-high five caused turnovers and six ground balls against D'Youville on April 29th. The defender ends her career with 106 ground balls and 75 caused turnovers in 63 games.
LaMonica earned IWLCA First Team All-Region honors. The ECC Goalie of the Year and First Team All-ECC recipient went 13-4 with 127 saves, a .446 save percentage and 10.12 goals-against average in 18 starts. The ECC Preseason Defensive Player of the Week was named ECC Goalkeeper of the Week three times after being named Second Team All-ECC last season. She ranked third on the team with 41 ground balls and was second in the ECC in save percentage. LaMonica had a season-high 13 saves in the win over Assumption on February 28th. The senior ends her career with a 29-14 record, 349 saves, a .448 save percentage and 9.68 goals-against average.
