Women's Lacrosse Ranked No. 17 Nationally in IWLCA Poll

DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. - The Mercy University Women's Lacrosse Team is ranked No. 17 nationally in the IWLCA Top 25 Poll.

Mercy moves up one spot in the poll and after going 2-0 last week with a 27-9 win over D'Youville and a 21-1 win over Roberts Wesleyan to secure their fourth ECC Championship. The Mavericks are currently 15-3 on the year and have been led by sophomore Ashlinn Kelly who has 68 points on 47 goals and 21 assists. Freshman Jessica Grzelaczyk  lead sthe team with 71 points and senior Emily Marino has a team-high 46 ground balls and 34 caused turnovers. Mercy is the lone ECC school in the poll.

Head Coach Dawn Sachs and the Mavericks resume action on Thursday when they face Southern Connecticut State in an NCAA Tournament First Round game at 4 p.m. at Pace.
