DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. (Nov. 26, 2024) – Mercy University women's soccer senior Skyler Schwenkler (San Diego, Calif./Grossmont) and junior Ancksu Dixon (Freeport, N.Y./Freeport) have been named Division 2 Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) Second Team All-East Region, as announced by the organization earlier today.
Schwenkler is named All-Region by the D2CCA for the second straight year. The senior was named First Team All-ECC for the third time earlier this month and has been named All-Conference all four years during her career. The ECC Preseason Defensive Player of the Year recorded three goals and one assist in 14 games, scoring a season-high two goals against New Haven on October 2nd. The one-time ECC Defensive Player of the Week also scored a goal against Chestnut Hill on October 8th.
Dixon receives All-Region honors from the D2CCA for the second time in her career after being named Second Team All-Region by the organization in 2022. The junior was named United Soccer Coaches Third Team All-Region last season. Dixon was named First Team All-ECC for the third straight year. The forward started all 20 games and had a team-high 12 goals and 32 points. She also ranked second on the team in assists. The one-time ECC Offensive Player of the Week during the season led the ECC in points and tied for the ECC lead in goals. She had a season-high three goals in the win over Felician on September 14th.
