WEST BABYLON, N.Y. (Apr. 1, 2024) – Mercy University baseball graduate student Nolan Giblin (Syracuse, N.Y./Jamesville Dewitt) and junior Gabe Sanders (Dunedin, Fla./Central Alabama CC) have been named to the East Coast Conference (ECC) Baseball Honor Roll for Week Seven.

Giblin hit .471 (8-for-17) with a team-high-tying eight runs to go along with a home run, four RBI and two doubles in four games. The graduate student went 4-for-10 with four runs and an RBI in the split against Queens on Friday. The third baseman ended the week going 4-for-7 with four runs, a home run and three RBI against Queens on Saturday.

Sanders hit .500 (9-for-18) with a team-high three home runs, eight RBI and eight runs scored in four games this week. The junior went 5-for-9 with six RBI, two home runs and five runs scored in the split with Queens on Friday. The outfielder ended the week going 4-for-9 with a home run, two RBI and three runs scored in the doubleheader at Queens on Saturday.

The awards are the first for both this season. Mercy has now earned 17 awards on the year.

Head Coach Chris Schoen and the Mavericks resume action on Saturday, April 6th when they play Millersville.
