COLONIA, N.J. (Mar. 24, 2025) – Mercy University baseball junior Kolongi Goins (Poughkeepsie, N.Y./FDR) has been named the East Coast Conference (ECC) Baseball Co-Player of the Week for Week Five. Sophomore Peyton Jemison (Monroe, N.Y./Monroe Woodbury) and freshman Andre Jenkins (Chester, N.Y./Chester Academy) have been tabbed to the Honor Roll.

Goins hit a blistering .733 (11-for-15) with a team-high eight runs to go with three RBI and a .778 on base percentage in five games this week. The junior opened the week going 1-for-1 at Pace on Tuesday before going 3-for-3 with four runs against STAC on Friday. The outfielder went 4-for-7 with three runs and an RBI in the Mavericks' doubleheader split at STAC on Saturday. Goins ended the week going 3-for-4 with two RBI and a run in the win over STAC on Sunday. 

Jemison hit .412 (7-for-17) with six RBI, four runs, two doubles and two triples in four games. The sophomore went 3-for-5 with a game-high and career-high five RBI with three runs, a double and a triple against STAC on Friday. The third baseman then went 1-for-4 in Mercy's game two win over STAC on Saturday. Jemison ended the week going 3-for-5 with an RBI, a run and a triple in the win over STAC on Sunday. 

Jenkins pitched seven innings with one earned run and four hits allowed to go along with four strikeouts to earn the win in Mercy's win over STAC on Sunday. 

The award is the second for Goins this season, the third for Jemison and the second for Jenkins. Mercy has now earned 16 awards on the year.

Head Coach Chris Schoen and the Mavericks resume action on Friday when they host Molloy at 3 p.m.
