COLONIA, N.J. (Apr. 7, 2025) – Mercy University baseball senior Matthew Manzoeillo (Beacon, N.Y./Beacon), junior John Nisco (Tarrytown, N.Y./Sleepy Hollow) and sophomore Peyton Jemison (Monroe, N.Y./Monroe Woodbury) have been named to the East Coast Conference (ECC) Baseball Honor Roll for Week Seven.

Manzoeillo pitched 6.1 innings with four hits and two runs allowed to go with four strikeouts in Mercy's 3-2 11-inning win over Staten Island on Friday. 

Nisco hit a team-high .526 (10-for-19) with a team-high two home runs, eight RBI and seven runs as Mercy went 2-2 on the week. The junior opened the week going 6-for-11 with eight RBI, six runs and two home runs in the split at Staten Island on Thursday, recording his 100th career hit in the game two win. The outfielder ended the week going 4-for-5 in the game one win over Staten Island on Friday.

Jemison hit .444 (8-for-18) with six RBI, four doubles and five runs scored as Mercy went 2-2 on the week. The sophomore opened the week going 6-for-10 with five RBI and four runs in the split at Staten Island on Thursday. The third baseman ended the week going 2-for-8 with an RBI and a run in the split against Staten Island on Friday. Jemison drove in the winning run on a walk-off single in the 11th inning in game one. 

The award is the second for Manzoeillo this season, the second for Nisco and the fourth for Jemison. Mercy has now earned 23 awards on the year.

Head Coach Chris Schoen and the Mavericks resume action tomorrow when they play at Georgian Court at 5 p.m.
