COLONIA, N.J. (Sept. 8, 2025) – Mercy University Women's Soccer sophomore Hailey Metzger (Levittown, N.Y./MacArthur) has been named the East Coast Conference (ECC) Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week and freshman Gracie DiPalo (Manorville, N.Y./Eastport South Manor) has been tabbed Rookie of the Week for Week One. Senior Ancksu Dixon (Freeport, N.Y./Freeport) has been named a Prime Performer.
Metzger had a team-high seven points on two goals and three assists as Mercy went 2-0 to start the season. The sophomore opened the week with a goal and a game-high three assists in the win over Dominican on Thursday. The forward ended the week with a goal in the Mavericks' win over Goldey-Beacom on Sunday.
DiPalo scored the game-winning goal in the 58th minute of Mercy's win over Goldey-Beacom on Sunday for her first collegiate goal.
Dixon recorded a hat trick, including the game-winning goal, in Mercy's season-opening win over Dominican on Thursday.
The awards are the first for all three this season and the first for the Mavericks.
Head Coach Jack Nicholson and the Mavericks resume action on Saturday, September 13th when they host Chestnut Hill at 2:30 p.m.
