DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. – The Mercy University Men's Lacrosse Team has been ranked No. 12 in the nation in the 2026 USA Lacrosse Magazine Division II Men's Lacrosse Preseason Top 20 Poll.
The Mavericks went 10-4 last season, winning their sixth straight ECC Regular Season Championship. Mercy ended the 2025 season ranked No. 13 nationally in the USA Lacrosse Magazine Poll. The Mavericks and Molloy (No. 9) are the lone ECC schools in the poll. Mercy will face four schools currently ranked in the Top 20 Poll.
Mercy returns five ECC All-Conference selections from a year ago. Junior Jake Norton returns after being named First Team All-ECC and USA Lacrosse Magazine All-American Honorable Mention last year. Norton ended last year with 35 ground balls, six caused turnovers and six assists. Also returning is graduate student Aidan Babnik who was named Second Team All-ECC last year after recording 26 goals and 10 assists. Senior Devon Duchnowski was tabbed Second Team All-ECC last year and had 15 goals and three assists a year ago. Senior Michael Corbo was named Second Team All-ECC last year after posting 35 ground balls and sophomore Cole Hunsberger is back after being named ECC Co-Rookie of the Year and Second Team All-ECC. Hunsberger ended last season with 24 goals and 11 assists. Junior Cameron Dorfman returns in goal for the Mavericks after going 10-4 last season with 135 saves, a .542 save percentage and 9.75 goals-against average.
Head Coach Ryan MacSpadyen and the Mavericks open their 2026 season on Saturday, February 14th when they play at Assumption at 1 p.m.
