Baseball Announces 2023 Schedule; Includes 19 Home Games

DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. (Jan. 15, 2023) – The Mercy College baseball team has announced its 2023 regular season schedule, which includes 19 home games at Mercy Field. The Mavericks will open their season on February 18th against Le Moyne College and Goldey-Beacom College in Cary, North Carolina. Mercy looks to qualify for the ECC Championship for the third straight year.

The Mavericks open their 2023 season on February 18th when they take on Le Moyne and Goldey-Beacom in Cary, North Carolina. Mercy will face the same two teams on February 19th before playing at No. 13 UNC Pembroke on February 21st.

Mercy will then head down to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina for their annual trip. The Mavericks will face Franklin Pierce University on February 23rd before taking on Felician University on February 24th. Mercy will then play No. 6 Southern New Hampshire University in a doubleheader on February 25th before ending the trip against Le Moyne on February 26th.

Head Coach Chris Schoen and the Mavericks open the month of March with a doubleheader at Southern Connecticut State University on March 4th before hosting the Owls for a doubleheader on March 5th. The Mavericks will then host University of Bridgeport on March 10th and March 12th while playing a doubleheader at the Purple Knights on March 11th.

The Mavericks host Bloomfield College on March 15th before hosting Pace University on March 17th and March 19th. Mercy will play a doubleheader at the Setters on March 18th. Schoen and the Mavericks open ECC play on March 24th against defending ECC Champions No. 25 Molloy University. Mercy will then play a doubleheader at Molloy on March 25th before hosting the Lions for a single game on March 26th.

Mercy ends the month of March with an ECC game against St. Thomas Aquinas College at home on March 31st. The Mavericks open the month of April with a doubleheader at St. Thomas Aquinas on April 1st before hosting the Spartans on April 2nd. The Mavericks will then play a four-game set at D'Youville University starting on April 6th with a single game, followed by a doubleheader on April 7th and a single game on April 8th.

The Mavericks continue ECC play with a road game at College of Staten Island on April 14th before hosting the Dolphins for a doubleheader on April 15th. Mercy ends the four-game series at Staten Island on April 16th. Schoen leads the Mavericks into a four-game series with Queens College starting on April 21st in Flushing. Mercy will host the Knights for a doubleheader on April 22nd before finishing off the season series on April 23rd at Queens.

Mercy steps out of ECC play to face Shippensburg University for a three-game series on the road starting on April 28th with a single game. The series concludes with a doubleheader on April 29th. The Mavericks conclude the regular season with a four-game set at home against ECC foe Lincoln University. The series kicks off with a single game on May 5th before a doubleheader takes place on May 6th. The regular season concludes on May 7th with a single game at Mercy Field. The double elimination ECC Baseball Championship will take place from May 11-13.
